VirusBuster for Windows Servers wins VB100 award
The Hungary-based IT security vendor won another prestigious VB100 certification - an outstanding 7th in a row.
Virus Bulletin[http://www.virusbtn.com/]'s most recent comparative review of antimalware products covered software running under the 64-bit version of Windows Server 2003. Competing with 21 rivals, VirusBuster for Windows Servers (x64) 6.1.130 performed very well in the test. The product demonstrated 100% efficiency when tested against viruses in the wild (ITW), and earned its developer another VB100 award. Reviewers praised VirusBuster Professional's easy installation process and detection rates, and found scanning speeds "excellent".
The result puts VirusBuster among a handful of internationally renowned companies, which have passed each of the last seven Virus Bulletin tests in a row. Of dozens of competitors, no more than 4 have managed to do so.
Virus Bulletin, an independent medium of the computer security industry, has carried out comparative testing of antivirus products for over a decade. The first VB100 awards were issued in 1998, and, since then, they have gained worldwide reputation. The tests focus on virus detection rates and scanning speeds, as well as at how each product fares when scanning a set files that are known to be clean.
In order to win the VB100 award, the product tested must detect all in the wild viruses during both on-demand and on-access scanning, but must not generate any false positives when scanning a set of clean files. Once again, VirusBuster successfully met these high expectations.
